Director of the Amsterdam Diaconate
After a career in leadership roles, he took on ultimate responsibility for the first time as Director of the Protestant Diaconate Amsterdam. An organization where, by its very nature, a fascinating diversity of perspectives comes into play. In that role, one central question for support emerged: how do you maintain balance between organizational and financial demands on the one hand, and the social mission and human dimension—including your own—on the other?
"The coaching has helped me tremendously in the transition to end-responsible leadership within a social-sector organization. Amos has a strong ability to distill patterns and dilemmas into clear, actionable themes you can genuinely work with. What I particularly appreciate is how well he connects with the dynamics of a (church-based) non-profit organization, where intrinsic motivation, personal commitment, and professional responsibility often intersect. The conversations are in-depth, sometimes confronting, but always thoughtful and supportive".”
– Dirk van den Hoven, director Protestant Diaconate Amsterdam
A.I. company CEO with corporate clients
A promising AI startup at the intersection of data and trust, led by a founder with vision, energy, tenacity and the ambition to grow a meaningful company—fast. Yasmin is building a product/service that enables better decision-making in large organisations, powered by the people you trust and smart technology. My role was to help her navigate the inner and outer pressures of leadership: to stay clear and calm while building a future-facing company in a high-expectation environment.
“Amos has been a true confidant on my entrepreneurial journey. Being a founder and CEO can feel incredibly lonely, but Amos was the missing link—not to tell me what to do, but to help me build the tools to lead. He guided me to improve my communication, recognize blind spots, and cultivate a strategic, resilient mindset. For the first time, I felt able to integrate intellect and emotion in a professional context. I highly recommend Amos to any CEO- especially female founders navigating the balance of power and presence.”
– Yasmin Shmuel – Founder/CEO Kleverapp
CEO of a med-tech startup
A med-tech company in a very specific market environment run by a CEO who has to traverse the pitfalls of different opinions between members of the board and the investor pool. And at the same time grow the company post-covid. It was my task to support both the CEO in this role while maintaining her bed-rock principles as a leader. And in doing that, helping her to sift the clutter from the relevant.
“I was referred to Amos at a time when I realized that the strategies that had brought me success wouldn’t carry me forward. I needed a new approach to achieve my goals, both professionally and personally.
Amos became my most trusted advisor, offering a space where I could openly explore both the rational and emotional aspects of leadership. His wisdom and experience gained from his own journey as an entrepreneur, manager, and investor, helped me break free from old patterns and make critical decisions with greater clarity. Every day, I apply the lessons I’ve learned from Amos, not only to improve myself but to help others see things from a new perspective.
Amos’s commitment goes beyond typical coaching; he’s a true partner, fully invested in my success. His guidance has been invaluable to my ongoing growth as a leader and entrepreneur. He’s a travel companion, not just a travel agent, and that deep level of involvement has made all the difference in my ongoing growth and success”
– Sandy Rathod – CoFounder/CEO NeuroReality
Managing Director in public private partnership
Responsible for setting up the campus organization with the aim of building an innovative Life Sciences & Health ecosystem on the Erasmus MC Campus and in the Rotterdam region. Recognises differences in focus and strategy among partners, and must learn to balance leveraging her own expertise versus the partners desire to be operationally and intensively involved in daily management. My support was primarily focused on helping her identify recurring patterns in the dynamics of this collaboration, learn to respond to them situationally, and lead more effectively—also by making use of her own unique traits and character
“Amos holds up a mirror and, in a supportive atmosphere, asks the right—and sometimes confronting—questions. He challenges you in a safe environment to help you grow both personally and professionally. A serious and trustworthy confidant, with whom it feels safe to be vulnerable.”
– drs. Ellen Smit – Managing Director – Rotterdam Square
A rapidly growing cultural foundation.
Growing a small visionary initiative into a fully-fledged organization in a very short time is never an easy task. Not only do budgetary, operational, and managerial challenges multiply—they also become more complex. My role was to guide the founder and management through this transition, help them apply new forms of leadership, advise on organizational structure, and provide reflection to the board and management on both individual and collective performance.
“When scaling from 10 to 50 people in a short time, growing pains are inevitable. Thanks to Amos, we were able to 'lift off from the edge of the cliff' and keep moving forward. His empathetic, insightful, and decisive approach is unique. A true pleasure to work with!
– Koert van Mensvoort – Founder/CEO/President Next Nature
HealthTech entrepreneur in exciting growth phase.
“A rising star in Healthtech, even noticed by Apple’s Tim Cook, quickly built a remote team of 12 nationalities across 9 countries. How do you stay focused to lead, inspire, and engage them while scaling fast? Constant innovation and investment are needed to stay ahead of well-funded competitors. I act as a trusted advisor and virtual non-exec, helping the entrepreneur prioritize, make clear choices, and show leadership amid a whirlwind of challenges and influences.”
“As a single founder, I was looking for an experienced sparring partner. Amos has the patience, experience, and genuine interest to get to the essence of an issue—and only then, if needed, provide advice. We work together on a wide range of matters, from practical topics like better negotiation and people management to breaking through limiting patterns. He truly wants to understand your challenges, your problems, and yourself, which makes the outcomes far more effective. I grow as a leader and entrepreneur through this collaboration. He travels the journey with me, and that feels completely trustworthy.
– Yosef Safi Harb – founder/CEO Happitech
Market leader in natural stone flooring and facade maintenance
Supporting a serial entrepreneur and his team. One of his companies grew from scratch to become the Benelux leader in natural stone floor and facade maintenance, serving top clients like the Royal Palace and InterContinental Amstel Hotel. After buying back the company from private equity, the focus shifted to new growth, acquisitions, and building a more entrepreneurial, self-directed, and even more quality-focused culture. I provide critical questioning, strategic reflection, and practical day-to-day guidance to help make it happen.
With the limited time I have as an entrepreneur managing multiple activities, I was looking for someone who can quickly get to the essence in complex situations, think disruptively from an outside perspective, and provide reflection. Based on his knowledge and experience, he can seamlessly switch between being an advisor with a point of view and a coach without one. He is approachable as a person, and my team trusts him as well. I experience Amos as a confidant with whom you can discuss the things you had previously only shared with yourself, without him having any personal stake in the outcome.”
– Shay Kalfuss – Founder/CEO Buildingcare-Nitesco
Artist management and booking agency
Handling highly talented, demanding, and creative personalities while simultaneously leading the growth and staff of two successful agencies. How a service-oriented mindset can be balanced with the toughness needed to achieve business success in this industry. Discussions cover not only the operational and strategic aspects of the business, but also which patterns drive success and should be repeated—and which are unproductive and should be avoided.
With a service-oriented mindset, I sometimes found it difficult to truly listen to my own business boundaries. Amos brings a refreshing and critical external perspective, backed by extensive experience. Because we have worked together for some time, he knows the company and its stakeholders. He keeps asking questions until the core of the matter is clear to me. When needed, we discuss alternative choices and scenarios. All of this makes it much easier to make decisions that would otherwise take me far longer.
– Flip van Ommeren – Founder/CEO Twist Artist Agency
Managers who are seeking to develop themselves.
Managers with New Responsibilities Stepping into new responsibilities comes with important questions: How can I unlock more of my strengths? How can a fresh mindset and new behaviors help me grow? And how do I avoid slipping back into old habits? The aim is always the same—strengthening their impact as leaders within the organization and with their teams. Each journey is different, which is why we share only their real-life experiences here.
My conversations with Amos have always given me valuable new insights. He provides direction without spoon-feeding, allowing me to find my own solutions and conclusions. The in-depth discussions and situation analyses not only gave me greater self-awareness but also practical tools. This coaching journey has helped me approach my work with more calm, autonomy, and confidence — and has therefore been an invaluable experience. – Morad Belhaj – Executive Team member
mos has a highly engaged way of asking questions and creating a safe, trusting environment—one in which you feel free to be vulnerable. This makes learning and development unfold naturally. For me, it marked a turning point in my professional behavior. I learned not only to communicate based on content and expertise, but also to adopt a different way of thinking, listening, and communicating. I benefit from this every single day. I can wholeheartedly recommend Amos—if you have the courage to change and want to bring out the best in yourself. – Tonny van der Zanden – Executive Team Member
Amos taught me to listen to myself, which has greatly improved the way I communicate with others. – Mirjam van Voorthuizen – Division manager.
4 partners of an rapidly growing design agency
‘We can do it better ourselves.’ That was the conviction of the four partners, all coming from the top of the design and advertising world. RONIN Amsterdam was born—a rapidly growing digital design agency with major clients like Heineken, Nike, Patta and G-Star. The agency tripled in size within the first year alone, navigating relocations, managing rapid growth, and striving to produce the best work in the Netherlands. This required not only exceptional expertise but also the ability to maintain oversight, manage choices, and critically evaluate the organization and its people. I act as an external conscience, regularly attending the management team as a non-executive, bringing calm, experience, perspective, and asking critical questions across all necessary areas.
"Amos doesn’t beat around the bush. He names the elephant in the room—or better yet, makes sure we do. He asks probing questions, takes nothing at face value, and doesn’t rush to give an opinion. While an outsider, he integrates seamlessly with the team. He serves as a mirror for discussing strategy and business decisions, and can bring calm when there are multiple leaders onboard, preventing internal conflicts."
– Leon Snelleman – Founder/Business partner
"As an entrepreneur, doubt is completely normal, and not everything comes easily. Amos functions almost like a CEO—but without his own emotions, agenda, or authority. Instead, he brings vast experience. He genuinely wants to help you improve, understand you, and know your motivations—both personally and professionally. Running a business, especially long-term, is about finding balance and maintaining energy, both when things are going well and when they aren’t, including between partners. His involvement helps make our collaboration run much more smoothly."
– Keith Kornson – Founder/Creative partner
A Business school for creative entrepreneurs.
Independent Cultural Entrepreneurs Seeking Support Strengthening focus, avoiding pitfalls, and removing (self-imposed) barriers or limiting beliefs—in order to become more successful as entrepreneurs. For this group, Kevin de Randamie organized… Breanworks and the N’Core program, in which we worked together as coaches. Over the course of several months, we guided these entrepreneurs through a series of intensive sessions, helping them make significant progress. Building on this success and his own experiences, Kevin went on to launch the Braenworks Academy as a business school for this audience. In 2018, I was responsible for developing and delivering the first four-week module, Identity and Strength, for nearly 40 participants.
He has a unique gift for reaching the deeper level of someone’s honesty. You can be honest on the surface, but Amos uncovers the truth beneath. He can connect with people authentically and effortlessly. I would recommend him when I see someone with their own pace and clear drive, but lacking reflection. This applies to both individuals and organizations.
– Kevin De Randamie – Founder Braenworks Academy.
Amos accelerates your thinking while instilling great confidence. Despite his extensive experience as an entrepreneur, he still approaches everything with the curiosity of a ‘young gun.’ He asks questions until you reach the core of the matter, which I found extremely valuable. He can easily switch between coaching and giving advice.
– Tjeerd Hendriks – participant and Cultural Entrepeneur in Rotterdam
New manager within a 'settled' Management Team.
CEO of a company in the midst of rapid expansion...
– Hicham Shatou CEO/ondernemer LeQuest
Entrepreneurial couple with a mission in life.
After successfully selling their companies, they wanted to address a social issue in healthcare. This led to the creation of a start-up—but it proved to be no easy path… There was no shortage of motivation, but also hurdles, resistance, and at times frustration. In this process I acted as confidant, business coach, and creative stimulator. The topics we worked on, ranged from the dynamics between the business partners, to making strategic choices, to dealing with the inevitable setbacks. Where relevant, I was also able to bring in my network to support them.
Amos connects with you as a person and understands what drives you, while staying closely focused on your business. He generously opens up his extensive network to support you. Amos is both a trusted guide ánd a companion on your journey.
– Maurice Smit – Founder/CEO Wijzelf zorg.
From performing artist to CEO.
From a struggling artist’s life to becoming the CEO of a creative organization. From an unknown, incredibly talented young man to a household name. Suddenly, everyone who had to, wanted to, or could, came knocking. For this client, I was a trusted confidant – someone who challenged the seemingly obvious assumptions in his business. I pressed the ‘pause button,’ enabling him to make the necessary choices, break through limiting paradigms, and find more clarity and calm in managing his affairs, his extraordinary creativity, and ultimately, his life
Together we managed to untangle the complex knot that I was – artist, human, entrepreneur, CEO – with a crew of more than 15 people depending on me. As a CEO and entrepreneur, Amos pushed me to make tough decisions, create calm, and close good deals. As a person, I now know I don’t have to do everything on my own, nor can I. I’ve learned to reach out when I don’t have the answers. And in that, I can fully trust Amos.

CEO of car importer was looking for a new direction..
The automotive industry has changed. It was time for a new strategy, a new management structure, and a culture and organizational behavior to match. We redefined the strategy based on the CEO’s vision and an extensive intervision program with all stakeholders—staff, clients, and dealers. From this process, we distilled a shared belief in the desired culture, behaviors, and priorities. These were translated into an HRM tool to ‘make it all work,’ along with concrete behaviors that demonstrated to the entire organization that this was taken seriously. I supported the CEO and management team throughout this transformation, ensuring they set the example for the rest of the organization to follow.
Amos understands how things work in the corporate world. But he is by no means a corporate survivor or a corporate predator. He has a remarkable antenna for meta-communication—for what is really happening inside a company. I experience him as a deeply trustworthy person, with whom you feel safe to be open and vulnerable. If you want to take change seriously, I wholeheartedly recommend Amos!
– Ted van Dam, CEO BV Nimag, importeur Suzuki.
Amos thinks in terms of solutions and makes space. He sets thought processes in motion, without imposing a rigid vision. He looks for connection—between people and the organization’s purpose—making sure the whole group starts thinking. (…) He always manages to give a clear example, a metaphor that everyone understands. This makes it tangible and logical. He doesn’t put himself at the center, but he is fully capable of stepping in to challenge and sharpen the discussion when needed.
– Wilma Glebbeek manager HRM BV Nimag
